| Comments: As I write this I am 32 days from retirement according to the countdown app on my phone! My husband, Scott, and I have purchased a home in Wytheville, VA, and will be moving there in June. Our son, Michael, who is 23, will remain in Bethany so rather than our son moving out, we are. I'm not sure exactly what will keep me busy in retirement but we do plan to get involved in local politics and I would like to find an outlet for crocheting lap blankets for dialysis patients, which I have been doing for a couple of years. Travel is also in the plans. We're looking forward to a trip up the East coast, probably in the fall. Ireland and Nova Scotia are also on the bucket list. But our first trip is to Cullman for the reunion, and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone! | ||

am currently halfway through my first term as a
Registrar for Cullman County. Our grandson, Jaiden,
is in football and baseball, so we are at the ball
fields a good bit of the time. The younger of the
two, Sylar, is all set for soccer next year. It has
been great to be able to read up on everyone's
whereabouts and what we all have done with our lives
- places lived - jobs pursued. 2019: I worked for the AL Department of Veterans Affairs for 27.8 yrs, retiring in August 1998. My husband, Jimmie Judkins, retired from Cullman Electric Cooperative the following year, 31 August 1999, and we received the blessing of our first grandchild/son, Jaiden, the same day. After our retirements, I traveled with Jimmie as he delivered Utility Vehicles throughout the States seeing parts of the country that we probably would not have traveled to otherwise. Afterwards, I worked for the Cullman County Board of Registrars, first as secretary and then as a Registrar for six years. My most recent employment was a year and half with Physicians Resource Network as a Courier. I count myself as married without the benefit of having my husband, Jimmie, with me at this time. My legal classification changed to widow with the loss of Jimmie, 3/30/2016, after almost 36 years of marriage. From our marriage, we have two children - Tara Judkins Philyaw (husband, Shane Philyaw) and Nathan Judkins (wife, Krystal Corley). We have grandsons - Jaiden Philyaw (19), Sylar Philyaw (13), (step)granddaughter Autumn Haney (12) and are anxiously awaiting Nathan's first child, Tesla Gray Judkins, due to arrive just any day. Tara worked for the Cullman County Health Department for 19 years, leaving in April of this year to accept the position of Administrative Assistant with Unsheltered International. Her husband, Shane has worked at Topre, for several years, as does our son, Nathan. Jaiden (grandson) works with Cape Electrical Supply, Decatur, AL. |

| Comments: I started buying cattle and continued riding bulls until my daughter was born in 1975, then I hung up my rope and spurs. I got lucky and went in partners with Allen Taylor, who furnished the bond and money for our cattle. I sold the cattle and the kids all had jobs. Judi, wife, kept the books. We were shipping 25,000 – 35,000 head of cattle per year. We sorted, processed, and shipped everything out of Montgomery. We continued doing this until 2014 when I had two heart attacks and had to have open heart surgery. | ||

reminder of advancing age, had cataract surgery this
summer. 2019: In the abysmal last installment of the series, Indiana Jones is reflecting on the recent deaths of family and colleagues. He laments how we appear to have reached an age when life stops giving to us and starts taking away. As I looked back on my last ten years and saw some of the update verbiage from other members of the class, I can see how someone might feel this way. Yet, when one continues to read of other's experiences, and remember our own, and plan for a continuing bucket list, there are definitely things that we could not have done or would not have appreciated when younger. Wandering Rome at midnight and coming upon the Trevi Fountains without all the idiots using selfie sticks. Looking up at the dark Montana night sky and seeing the Milky Way spreading gloriously across heaven. Marveling at the sunrise over the volcanoes in Hawaii. Turing a corner on the Champs Elysees at dusk and seeing the Eiffel Tower illuminated. Trying to see the green flash on the horizon as the sun sets in Key West. Or just holding a grandchild or great-grandchild or someone else's child and seeing them smiling up at us. Yes, there are occasions in life when we are stricken but there are also wonderful times to reflect upon, to shuttle back and forth in our memories, to thank God for all He has given us, and to look forward to spending time in August with some of our oldest and best friends. What I've been doing since the last reunion: Worked thousands of volunteer hours. Served on the board of directors for my church and several small non-profits. Took bucket list vacations (Hawaii, Paris, Rome, Destin). Gained and lost hundreds of pounds. Continued to take courses at local colleges, on-line, and through my church. Buried too many friends and family members. Loved one woman. |

| Comments: Ron has been busy over the past 10 years. He dabbled in real estate along the coast and opened four Dairy Queen franchises. We opened the first store in Orange Beach where it quickly became the highest volume store in the SouthEast. We sold our stores to a large corporation from Minnesota in 2016. Since that time, Ron has always loved old cars. He bought 4 old cars and we enjoyed them for quite some time and eventually sold those as well. Ron is now retired and says that he is his wife's chauffeur! Vicki is still an active real estate Alabama and Florida Broker. We have two beautiful grandchildren named Ellafair. Ellafair is 10 years old and is going on 20! Jason is our little sunshine. He is named after his namesake Jason (our son Jason that passed in 2005). We attend soccer and now it is baseball for Jason and softball for Ellafair. We are currently building a home in Craft Farms in Gulf Shores. We love living in Gulf Shores and plan on staying here until they cart us off to our final resting place in Cullman, Alabama. We will be celebrating our 48th anniversary on August 27th and looking forward to a trip to the Canadian Rockies. | ||
