"Batter Up" Production Coming to Renaissance Theatre

Batter Up: A Musical About Baseball

Batter Up will be presented in May, 2009 on the Renaissance Theatre Mainstage. A musical retelling of Ernest Thayer's immortal poem, “Casey at the Bat”, Batter Up premiered at the Princess Theatre in Decatur in 1995. Now it comes to the Huntsville stage.

"Tabernacle" Presented at Historic Camp Meeting

Hartselle Camp Meeting in Hartselle, Alabama was the setting for a recent production of "Tabernacle", a musical set in an old-time camp meeting, where old and new clash, culturally and musically.

The play was directed by Carol Puckett, and proceeds from the two performances (Friday and Saturday, July 25-26) went to benefit the new HCMA youth dormitory.

"Space Rangers and the Viper Menace" Completes World Premiere Run

Renaissance Theatre in Huntsville, Alabama was the venue for the world premiere of the original musical, "Space Rangers and the Viper Menace." The show was directed by Chuck Puckett, and ran from April 11-18, 2008.
