Other: B.A. in Clarinet Performance from The Cleveland Institute of Music / Case Western Reserve University. I am a classically trained musician who enjoys playing a large assortment of musical styles. My musical career started in High School, where I first received a scholarship to attend Interlochen Arts Academy and then continued on to be ranked one of the top solo clarinetists in the state of Michigan. At the request of my H.S. Band Director, I began teaching clarinet to other band members when I was in the ninth grade and have spent several years teaching since then. During my attendance at CIM, I attended Masters Classes/Woodwind Chamber Music Workshops at The Hartt School of Music in West Hartford, Connecticuit. There I studied with Bert Lucarelli, Robert Bloom, Stephen Maxym, John Wion, and Kalmen Opperman. At CIM I studied clarinet privately with Frank Cohen and Theodore Johnson of The Cleveland Orchestra. I generally spend winters in the south (Huntsville, Alabama) and summers in the north country (Kalamazoo, Michigan). I always look forward to opportunities to play good music with good musicians.
